Our story begins 30 years ago
when my husband had a stroke.
From that moment, my learning about personalized care began, through physical therapies for the rehabilitation of my husband. After two and a half years he recovered his physical mobility, speech and memory.
During the next 20 years, the care he required was minimal, he drove back to work to lead his normal life.
After that time, he began to have health problems, atrial fibrillation a type of cardiac arrythmia, respiratory failure, and pulmonary hypertension.
It's ben seven and a half years when my husband had a pacemaker surgery, after surgery he was unable to walk again.
Since then, he has been bedridden, requiring oxygen 24 hours a day. At 75 years old, his health is under control, I take care of him and his doctor visits him here at home.
I've learned many things about caring for elderly.
